Job summary

Gratitude Philippines is seeking an Application Engineer with a strong mix of business and IT to support enterprise applications, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with business users and IT teams. The role emphasizes analyzing requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

You will handle incidents, monitor performance, assist in testing, and contribute to deployments, UAT, and defect management, working with databases, APIs, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Application Engineering, Application Support, Systems Analysis, or a related IT role.
• Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications and resolving production issues.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with application monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
• Exposure to software development, scripting, or automation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with testing, UAT, and defect management.
• Understanding ITSM processes, incident and change management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and troubleshoot functional and technical issues.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into application and technical solutions.
• Monitor application performance, system availability, and operational issues.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• Work with business users to understand requirements, issues, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, QA, and other IT stakeholders.
• Support application enhancements, integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, and defect resolution.
• Work with databases, APIs, integrations, and enterprise application environments.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation when required.
• Support incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve application reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
