Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in customs operations, international trade, import/export management, or trade compliance.
  • Solid understanding of customs procedures and regulations, Pedimentos, tariff classification, and documentation.
  • Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • English proficiency (B2 or higher) and related certifications (OTEA/CTPAT desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day import and export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Act as primary contact for manufacturing sites and internal stakeholders on shipments and customs requirements.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers to prepare, review, and approve import/export documentation.
  • Review declarations (Pedimentos) and ensure correct tariff classifications.
  • Maintain complete customs files and records for audits and regulatory needs.
  • Monitor clearance activities and follow shipments to delivery.

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Customs Operations to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across international borders. In this position, you will serve as a key link between manufacturing sites, logistics providers, customs brokers, and transportation teams to guarantee compliant and efficient import and export operations.

This role combines customs compliance, international trade expertise, logistics coordination, and operational problem-solving to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.

What will you do?
  • Manage day-to-day import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for manufacturing sites and internal stakeholders regarding international shipments and customs requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with customs brokers to prepare, review, validate, and approve import/export documentation.
  • Review and interpret customs declarations (pedimentos) and ensure accurate tariff classification of products.
  • Build and maintain complete customs files and record-keeping documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor customs clearance activities and follow up on shipments until final delivery.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely movement of goods across international and domestic networks.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for shipment discrepancies, including shortages, overages, damages, or customs-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on trade compliance, logistics efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and business requirements.

  • Advanced intermediate English proficiency (B2 or higher).
  • Professional certifications such as OEA, CTPAT, or other customs/trade compliance certifications are highly desirable.
