Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a global team focused on building AI-driven platforms for Insurance Broking. You will drive end-to-end AI product development, from concept through deployment, collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and operations to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in software and AI, strong Python/TypeScript skills, and hands-on experience with ML models and LLMs, CI/CD, and containers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Software Engineering, AI/ML experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Proven track record delivering AI-driven products from concept to live deployment.
• Direct experience applying ML models and Large Language Models in real settings.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Strong English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Pinpoint promising areas where AI can add value across Insurance Broking work.
• Plan, construct, and roll out enterprise-ready AI platforms that simplify operations.
• Create AI-enabled tools powered by LLMs, RAG, document handling, information extraction, categorization, and agent-oriented designs.
• Partner with brokers, underwriters, and teams to identify pain points and scalable solutions.
• Manage lifecycle of AI products from concept to launch and refinement.
• Establish evaluation mechanisms for AI systems including monitoring and bias checks.
• Promote rapid experimentation and modern AI engineering practices.
• Improve operational performance and automation to boost business output.
• Provide direction to engineers and ensure trustworthy AI delivery.
• Explore AI innovations to address insurance-specific problems.
