Job summary

Matimco, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, AP, cost accounting, inventory, and month-end closings in Metro Manila. You will collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure accurate records and timely reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in finance; SAP knowledge and strong Excel skills are a plus. This role includes mentoring staff and driving process improvements to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations including journal entries, expense recognition, accruals, and adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments.
• Assist in cost accounting and product costing with standard costing.
• Maintain inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation.
• Review Balance Sheet postings and OPEX/NOPEX with proper cut-offs and controls.
• Coordinate month-end closing and reporting with reconciliations and working papers.
• Review tax and regulatory filings including VAT and income tax returns.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse, and treasury for data validation.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff through task assignment and coaching.
• Support process and system improvements and update documentation.
