Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a Senior Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate general ledger closing and timely financial reporting. You will help maintain reconciliations, support the accounting team, and strengthen the control environment.

Key duties include month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany activity, consolidations, and preparing required reports. You will also assist audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3-5 years of accounting or audit experience.
• Strong reporting and data querying capabilities.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the month-end close, including preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, account roll forwards, and other supporting schedules as necessary.
• Maintain prepaid expenses, intercompany transfers, and fixed asset balance sheet accounts.
• Perform monthly consolidations and ensure appropriate accounting for intercompany transactions.
• Analyze issues and present and recommend potential solutions.
• Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting sets in support of the monthly closing process.
• Assist in the formulation and preparation of monthly and annual reporting requirements.
• Process and initiate treasury activities such as check runs, electronic payments, and intercompany fund transfers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as accounting regulations.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Assist in coordinating internal and external audits and support maintenance of internal control environment documentation
