Job summary

Top Source Executive Search, Inc. is seeking a General Accountant responsible for accurate execution of month-end close, balance sheet integrity and adherence to accounting standards.

You will handle complex journal entries, reconciliations and reporting, while supporting audits and transformation projects. The role requires 5+ years in general accounting, a strong knowledge of accounting processes, and proficiency in Excel and NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.
• At least 5 years of General Accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel; NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post complex journal entries, accruals and adjustments for assigned entities/regions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances timely.
• Support month-end close period activities in line with agreed timelines.
• Ensure accounting entries comply with applicable standards, policies and internal controls.
• Act as first point of contact for operational GA queries within assigned scope.
• Collaborate with AP/PTP and Finance teams to identify process improvements.
• Escalate complex or judgment-heavy issues to the GA Team Lead with analysis.
• Assist in training and onboarding of team members; Support SOP creation/updates and ERP/UAT process improvement initiatives as SME.

Overall Description

Responsible for accurate execution of General Accounting activities for assigned regions/entities, with primary focus on month-end close, balance sheet integrity and compliance with accounting standards, controls and policies. Handles complex journal entries, reconciliations, reports and analyses.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field desirable
• 5+ years of General Accounting experience
• Month-end close and financial reporting support
• Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany, prepaids and operational tasks
• Support for audit and internal reviews and transition/transformation projects

Competency Profile

• Strong working knowledge of General Accounting processes and principles
• Experience with complex reconciliations, accruals and adjustments
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and internal controls
• High attention to detail and analytical rigor
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve variances
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and spreadsheets
• NetSuite experience is highly preferred
