Job summary

LN Accounting & Consulting is seeking an analytical and independent Accounting Review & Advisory Accountant to review, analyze, and improve client accounting and financial reporting. You will ensure that records are accurate, complete, properly supported, and compliant with applicable accounting and tax requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing books and reports, reconciling accounts, performing month-end and year-end reviews, and identifying risks. Remote work capability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review clients' books, general ledgers, journals, schedules, and financial reports
• Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and unusual balances or transactions
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Analyze accounts and identify errors, omissions, duplicate entries, unsupported transactions, and unusual movements
• Review proper classification and recording of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity
• Identify areas needing adjusting or correcting entries
• Review supporting documents and determine whether transactions are adequately substantiated
• Conduct month-end and year-end accounting reviews
• Identify potential accounting, tax, documentation, and reporting risks
• Prepare or recommend necessary adjusting and correcting entries
