Job summary

MontPac in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Officer to supervise junior staff and uphold high standards of people management while delivering quality client service within the Client Services Department. You will lead core accounting tasks, ensure timely financial reporting, and support transitions of client accounts.

The role requires strong leadership, deep accounting knowledge, and the ability to handle confidential information under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience, incl. at least two in supervision.
• CPA license is an advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand scope of work via Client Arrangement Letter.
• Assist in implementing processes migrated from client to MontPac.
• Onboard new clients and migrate accounting records.
• Guide associates in regular accounting tasks such as bank rec, AR/AP, and bookkeeping.
• Own client accounts and coordinate reports, feedback, and actions with leadership.
• Perform financial statement analysis and address complex transactions.
• Act as Client’s Controller for red-flag issues and recommendations.
• Identify process improvements and ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Prepare documentation and transfer knowledge to new members.
• Communicate with clients to follow up on deliverables and resolve issues.
