Job summary

PM Consulting is seeking an Accounting Officer in the Philippines to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and reconciliations. The role supports monthly closing activities and provides analysis on sales, costing, and profitability for management decisions.

The position requires a CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, with strong Excel skills and experience in accounting systems.

Qualifications

CPA certification required.
Bachelor's degree in accountancy or related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Experience in financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, and general accounting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly sales reports, product costing, gross profit reports, and trial balances.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare tax returns and support compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements.
Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and BIR reconciliations.
Maintain and monitor pricing systems, discount structures, and related accounting records.
Review and analyze books of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Collaborate with Treasury and other departments to support financial reporting requirements.
Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve accounting processes and controls.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
