Job summary

Merck Group is seeking an Accounting Expert in Manila to drive operational excellence and financial integrity across asset accounting, intercompany, and bank processing. You will own complex issues, lead close activities, ensure compliance with policies, and partner with entity finance, Treasury and related teams.

You will mentor colleagues and help build a high-performing operating environment while maintaining data quality and documentation across master data, reconciliations and journals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting operations/shared services.
• Experience with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Proficient in SAP or ERP systems.
• Fluent in English and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end asset accounting lifecycle per policy.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Lead bank processing, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Handle complex journals and master data governance.
• Support audits and ensure policy compliance.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
