Job summary

Remotely Philippines OPC is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to lead client accounting and guidance for a consumer-brand portfolio.

You will oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and inventory/COGS accounting, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in CPG and e-commerce.
• Experience managing accounting operations for consumer brands with ~$5M+ annual revenue.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and COGS accounting; accrual-based accounting and fixed assets.

• Ensure accurate financial reporting, including reconciliations and month-end entries.

• Ensure accurate financial reporting, including reconciliations, month-end entries, and record cleanup.

• Manage workflow and timelines effectively.

• Mentor and review work of junior accountants and bookkeepers.

• Primary point of contact of External Auditors.

• Recommend process improvements for better financial reporting and workflows.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPG, and e-commerce

• Proven experience managing accounting operations for a consumer brand with approximately $5M or more in annual revenue.

• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting.

• Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting and technical accounting concepts, including fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and month-end accruals.

• Hands-on experience with Amazon and Shopify accounting and reconciliations.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
