Job summary

MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for an onsite night-shift role at Mall of Asia Complex. You will reconcile revenue and related balance sheet accounts, assist in month-end close, and prepare journal entries while coordinating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, brings about 6 years of relevant experience, and demonstrates advanced Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience supporting Australia, Canada, or US-based clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile revenue and related balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Reconcile receivables with credit card processor statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by preparing costs schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and statements.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management tasks.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams on financial matters.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile revenue and related balance sheet accounts (e.g., credit card transactions payables, receivables) monthly.
• Reconcile receivables with credit card processor statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, by preparing costs schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support Finance Department's schedule management and file organization.
• Help prepare journal entries for revenue recognition.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly).
• Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., auditors) on financial matters.
• Assist with audit preparation (retrieve documents, prepare working papers).
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Good understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or applicable standard).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• High integrity and a sense of confidentiality, especially when handling sensitive financial information.
• Senior-level accounting professional with stronger technical experience and industry exposure
• Candidate should possess leadership qualities and be able to mentor and guide team members as needed (without direct management), along with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required, including strong knowledge of formulas, reporting, reconciliations, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Preference for candidates with stable tenure and consistent employment history
• Prior accounting experience supporting Australia, Canada, or US-based clients/businesses is highly preferred
