Private Advertiser, a Construction and Project Management Company with projects across the country, seeks a Senior Accountant in Cebu City to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and provide insightful analysis for strategic decisions.

You will manage AP/AR/GL/payroll, prepare financial statements, and lead a finance team while upholding compliance with PFRS and tax regulations. Strong Excel, QuickBooks/Xero/SAP/Oracle skills are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 1–3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and related regs.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and oversee all accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows).
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct monthly and year-end closings, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare budgets/forecasts and provide insights on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and advise on financial progress and improvements.
• Ensure tax compliance and timely tax filings.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements in finance operations.
• Support internal controls development to safeguard assets.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with at least 1-3 years of experience who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, providing insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to take charge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Conduct monthly and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and potential risks and opportunities.

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial progress and identify areas for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and prepare tax filings accurately and on time.

• Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial institutions.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is preferred.

• At least 1-3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance

• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and other relevant accounting regulations.

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
