Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will lead daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), and strengthen the companys financial health through accurate reporting, effective planning, and process improvements. This role requires not only strong technical expertise but also the ability to implement systems, execute plans efficiently, and provide leadership to ensure smooth and timely operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain the companys Books of Accounts in compliance with PFRS and Philippine Auditing Standards.
• Prepare, review, and generate accurate Financial Statements and management reports within agreed timelines.
• Oversee Fixed Assets Lapsing Schedules, including recording of acquisitions, disposals, and adjustments.
• Review and post adjusting journal entries and ensure the accuracy of supporting schedules for Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
• Conduct variance analysis and present actionable management insights.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
• Ensure full compliance with BIR registrations, issuances, and tax filings.
• Act as the lead contact during year-end external audits, coordinating and finalizing audit requirements.
• Develop and implement accounting processes, controls, and policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work of accounting staff to ensure deadlines and responsibilities are met.
• Proactively identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Support management in ad-hoc tasks, urgent requests, and special projects while maintaining continuity of regular operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 35 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Solid background in AP, AR, and Financial Statement preparation.
• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software (required).
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word; skilled in financial closing, reporting, bank reconciliation, and tax compliance.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to implement processes and ensure smooth execution of both routine and ad-hoc tasks.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
