Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services team in Metro Manila. You will lead general accounting functions, drive month-end close processes, ensure SOX and GAAP compliance, and mentor junior finance staff while supporting cross-functional decision-making.

This role emphasizes leadership, accurate financial reporting, and continuous process improvements across systems and operations within a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and CPA certification is required.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in General Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Record-to-Report in a shared services environment.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP, SOX 404 compliance, complex reconciliations, and financial close management.
• Proven leadership, peer-review, and cross-functional project management abilities.
• Work Arrangement: BGC/early shift/hybrid.

Responsibilities

• General Accounting & Reporting: Manage general ledger operations, prepare/review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; drive monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Financial Analysis & Business Support: Prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and build management reports to guide strategy.
• Compliance, Controls & Audit: Maintain GAAP and SOX 404 compliance; assist internal control design; support audits.
• Leadership & Team Mentorship: Review work for accuracy, delegate tasks, mentor junior accountants, lead process improvements across systems and operations.
