Job summary

GlobalSign, based in Makati, Philippines, invites a seasoned finance professional to join our accounting team. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, consolidation, tax filings, cash management, and internal controls within a multinational framework.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, a bachelor's in Accountancy, 5+ years of relevant experience, and excellent English communication. You will work with external firms and HQ to ensure compliance and timely financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and CPA holder required.
• Strong knowledge of foreign currency transactions.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in overall financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge in consolidation accounting.
• Strong knowledge in internal control or Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Confidentiality and high integrity in handling data.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting tools/software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly financial statement reporting.
• Manage cash/bank accounts and timeliness of payments.
• Maintain proper cash balance and accounts payables/receivables.
• Complete Payroll calculation and related legal/tax filings.
• Coordinate with external firm for tax computations and filings.
• Consolidation accounting and liaison with HQ for consolidation.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger and related filings.
• Ensure internal control and compliance documentation.
• Prepare company financial reporting to management and government.

Job description

• Ensure accurate Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly financial statement reporting.
• Ensures Proper management of Cash/Bank account and timely payments.
• Manage and maintain proper cash balance.
• Completes Payroll calculation based on schedule and related legal/tax filings.
• Accurate corporate tax computation (with external firm assistance as needed).
• Accurate and on time filing of the expanded withholding tax and other related legal/tax filings.
• Liaisons with Japan head quarter and the parent company in Singapore for consolidation to a listed company.
• Management of Accounts Payables and related tasks.
• Management of Accounts Receivables and related tasks.
• Management of accurate Fixed Asset ledger and related legal filings.
• Maintains an organized and secure filing system for all Accounting/Finance related files to ensure internal and government compliance as well as easy traceability and retrieval.
• Reporting of the Company financials to the Company management.
• Ensure finance related legal compliance.
• Ensure auditable internal control related to finance operations
• Matters related to tax inspection and queries
• Performs other general accounting related duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, preferably in Accountancy or any similar field. CPA holder is a must.
• Must have a strong knowledge of foreign currency transactions.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in overall financial accounting, preferably with a multinational or PEZA registered company.
• Strong knowledge in consolidation accounting.
• Strong knowledge in internal control or Sarbanes-Oxley act.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality.
• Strong knowledge in MS office.
• Knowledge of Accounting/Finance tools and software.
