The Senior Accountant shall be responsible in handling various accounting tasks and reportorial requirements of the company and its subsidiary companies (inter-companies), and clients, following the general accounting standards and principles.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
Strong experience in financial reporting, general ledger, month-end/year-end closing, and full-cycle accounting.
Proven experience handling multiple entities, inter-company transactions, and/or client accounts.
Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and BIR compliance requirements.
Experience in tax filing and compliance, including handling BIR-related matters, Letters of Authority (LOAs), and other government reportorial requirements.
Experience coordinating and managing external financial audits and working with independent auditors.
Familiarity with PEZA, BOI, and other government regulatory requirements is an advantage.
Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to supervise, review, and develop accounting staff.
Responsibilities:
Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Ensures an accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports of inter-companies and clients.
Be able to resolve complex accounting or financial issues.
Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff.
Oversees filing of tax returns.
Oversees preparation of annual financial audit in conjunction with independent auditors.
Handles and prepares all accounting-related reportorial requirements with different government agencies, and attend meetings, if necessary, e.g. BIR LOAs, PEZA, BOI etc.
Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior
