Halo Recruiting is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a centralized accounting team supporting multiple business units. The role centers on daily accounting tasks and month-end close while expanding into broader responsibilities as the function grows.

The candidate must adapt to NetSuite as the company standard and demonstrate strong US GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work across entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience with strong month-end close.
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP fundamentals.
• Experience supporting US-based companies or accounting teams.
• Strong Excel skills with pivots and lookups.
• Ability to execute tasks independently and own responsibilities.
• Adaptable to changing processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned general accounting and month-end close activities for a designated business unit.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries, including payroll and accrual entries.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support cash application and reconciliation with Accounts Receivable team.
• Complete month-end close tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Review account activity and documentation to ensure balances are complete and accurate.
• Assist in maintaining and improving accounting schedules, reconciliations, and SOPs.
• Learn and follow established accounting processes as systems evolve.
• Identify and suggest improvements for unclear or outdated processes.
• Document processes and update SOPs as workflows evolve.
• Collaborate with Accounting Manager and team to resolve issues and ensure timely close.
• Adapt to transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite and learn new systems.
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities across units as capacity grows.
