Connext is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Philippines to lead cash accounting and related financial reporting. You will oversee day-to-day operations, train team members, and collaborate with the Team Leader to motivate the team toward organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Meticulous review of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with team and leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse teams and clients.
• Demonstrates interest in finance, accounting, and business strategy.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Clear and coherent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Generate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash balances.
• Ensure proper matching of bank transactions with accounting records.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.
• Analyze financial trends to support business decisions.
• Identify unusual transactions or anomalies through data analysis.
