Job summary

Private Advertiser's client, a boutique accounting firm, seeks a Senior Accountant (CPA) to manage month-end close, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports, and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate has Big 4 public accounting background, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, strong financial accounting skills, and proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with US-based clients is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA is required.
• Big 4 public accounting experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Strong financial accounting experience is required.
• Experience managing or supporting the month-end close process is required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting is required.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements is required.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is required.
• US accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience working with US-based clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the accurate and timely month-end close process for assigned clients.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US accounting standards.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support client accounting needs and address accounting issues as they arise.
• Maintain organized close trackers, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet client deliverables and deadlines.
• Provide responsive, professional, and high-quality client service.
