REMOTE STAFF, INC. is seeking a Philippines-based Senior Accountant who can take full ownership of day-to-day accounting, streamline processes, and potentially replace the current outsourced arrangement.

Initially, you will work with the existing team to understand the business and transition responsibilities. Ultimately, you will independently manage the accounting function, partnering with outside CPA support as needed and communicating with the U.S.-based management team on GAAP-compliant

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. GAAP and US-based practices.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online expertise.
• Proven background in e-commerce accounting (Shopify, Amazon, wholesale).
• Robust inventory accounting: COGS, valuation, PO processing, adjustments.
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication; ability to work autonomously with a remote U.S. team.
• Cin7 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations in QuickBooks Online, including month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger management.
• Handle multi-channel e-commerce accounting across Shopify, Amazon, and wholesale accounts.
• Execute inventory accounting duties: track COGS, inventory valuation, POs, and adjustments.
• Maintain reconciliations between accounting records and inventory management systems.
• Review procedures to eliminate manual work and separate inventory tasks from accounting functions.
• Implement efficient procedures while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Communicate with the U.S.-based management team.

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced, Philippines-based Senior Accountant who can take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, streamline existing processes, and potentially replace the current outsourced accounting arrangement. Initially, this person will work alongside the existing accounting team to understand the business and transition responsibilities. Ultimately, the ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing the accounting function, partnering with outside CPA support as needed for tax and complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations in QuickBooks Online, including month-end close, financial statements, bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger management.
• Handle multi-channel e-commerce accounting, specifically tracking revenues, fees, and transactions across Shopify, Amazon, and wholesale accounts.
• Execute inventory accounting duties, including tracking COGS, inventory valuation, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments for finished goods and componentry.
• Maintain accurate and regular reconciliations between accounting records and inventory management systems.
• Review current accounting and inventory reconciliation procedures to eliminate unnecessary manual work, simplify reconciliations, and properly separate operational inventory tasks from accounting functions.
• Implement simpler, more efficient procedures while ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls.
• Communicate and work directly with the U.S.-based management team.

About you

• Strong experience working with U.S.-based businesses and U.S. accounting practices, including GAAP.
• Advanced, hands-on QuickBooks Online experience.
• Proven background in e-commerce accounting, particularly with Shopify, Amazon, and wholesale transactions.
• Robust inventory accounting experience, including COGS, inventory valuation, and system reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work autonomously with a remote U.S. team.
• Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate existing processes rather than simply replicating them.
• Hands-on experience with Cin7 (a significant plus, though not required).
