Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an IT Security Operations Analyst II to protect information systems and networks from cyber threats.

The role requires strong blue team operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and security engineering with hands-on use of endpoint and network tools. You will collaborate with IT and management to strengthen the cybersecurity posture, deliver mentorship to Level 1 Analysts, and help refine security strategies and playbooks for robust defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a Level 2 (L2) Cyber Security role.
• CompTIA Security+ or CYSA+ is highly desirable.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are relevant.

Responsibilities

• Protect information systems and networks from cyber threats.
• Lead incident response and security investigations.
• Mentor Level 1 Analysts and provide guidance.
• Develop automation playbooks and tune security controls.
• Provide on-call support for high-severity incidents.
• Contribute to SOC playbooks and incident reports.
