Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in a Level 2 (L2) cyber security role.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CYSA+ are highly desirable.
• Related certifications like CCNA/Network+ appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Identify and detect emerging cyber threats using threat intelligence.
• Tune security controls and automate security playbooks for efficiency.
• Review incident tickets for quality and adherence to processes.
• Act as escalation point for technical guidance within the SOC.
• Perform in-depth investigations of security alerts escalated by Level 1 analysts.
• Manage security incidents and response processes for timely resolution.
• Provide mentorship to Level 1 Analysts on complex incidents.
• Lead teams or sub-teams to support SOC objectives.
• Provide on‑call support for high‑severity security incidents.
• Ensure 24/7 SOC capacity and effective workforce management.
• Deliver training to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Document findings to improve incident response playbooks.
