Job summary

Pax8 Philippines is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts across a global environment, helping protect our people, partners, platforms, and customers.

You will work with Microsoft security technologies such as Defender, Entra, and Intune, leverage SIEMs, and contribute to runbooks, threat intelligence, and automation to strengthen our security posture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in security operations, security engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Strong incident response, threat investigation, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Microsoft security products (Defender, Entra, Intune) and security compliance.
• Experience using SIEMs to investigate security events and patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud security across Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex security findings to varied audiences.
• Collaborative, analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Hybrid Working

We believe the best onboarding happens through collaboration and connection. During your first six months, you'll spend the majority of your time working from our Philippines office, enabling you to build strong relationships, learn from experienced teammates, and accelerate your development. What You'll Be Doing

Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts and security incidents across a global environment.

Conduct detailed analysis of security events, determine risk levels, and coordinate appropriate response and remediation activities.

Drive incident triage and escalation efforts, helping minimize business impact while ensuring efficient resolution.

Support the ongoing security of cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and enterprise technologies through monitoring and control optimization.

Assess vulnerabilities, provide risk-based prioritization, and guide stakeholders on remediation actions.

Research emerging threats, analyze threat intelligence, and provide actionable guidance to internal teams and marketplace partners.

Improve operational efficiency through automation, documentation, and enhancement of security runbooks and processes.

Produce reporting, insights, and metrics that support broader Trust & Security initiatives.

Partner with technical and business teams to embed security best practices into day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Demonstrated experience operating within a security operations, security engineering, or cybersecurity-focused environment.

Strong understanding of incident response, threat investigation, forensic analysis, vulnerability management, and risk-based prioritization.

Proven experience working with Microsoft security technologies, including solutions such as Defender, Entra, Intune, and security compliance platforms.

Experience leveraging SIEM technologies to investigate security events, identify patterns, and support response activities.

Familiarity with cloud security concepts and securing modern environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.

Knowledge of SaaS security controls, identity security, threat intelligence, or enterprise security monitoring practices.

Ability to communicate technical security findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A collaborative mindset, strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
