Career Point in Cebu City, Philippines, is seeking a Security Manager to design and implement an enterprise-wide security management system across its multi-site operations.
The role focuses on resilience, physical and cyber-physical protection, and proactive safety programs. You will lead governance, vendor management, crisis planning, and regulatory compliance to safeguard people and assets.
The Security Manager is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide security management system across the Velez Group of Companies and its diverse multi-site subsidiaries.
Moving beyond routine gatekeeper oversight, this strategic role acts as the chief architect of the group's institutional resilience, physical security infrastructure, and safety policies. The position ensures the absolute protection of personnel, high-value assets, continuity of operations, stakeholders, and multi-entity facilities by implementing proactive, data-driven security initiatives.
Security Governance & System Design – Develop and standardize security systems, policies, and protocols across all academic, clinical, and corporate properties to ensure consistent protection and risk management. Write, update, and implement comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding access control, visitor screening, material movement, and executive protection.
Infrastructure Automation & Asset Protection – Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of physical and electronic security systems, including CCTV, biometric access control, and alarm systems. Author technical specification blueprints for new physical security hardware upgrades and guide deployment vendor choices.
Crisis Management & Institutional Resilience – Establish emergency preparedness programs by developing disaster response plans, conducting drills, and leading incident response and investigations. Develop, plan, and execute security and safety training programs designed to upscale the security capabilities of both specialized guard forces and general company employees.
Security Vendor Management – Manage security service providers by overseeing contracts, monitoring performance, and optimizing costs while maintaining effective security coverage.
Regulatory Compliance – Ensure compliance with security regulations by coordinating with government agencies, law enforcement, and emergency response organizations to maintain legal and safety standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Public Safety, Business Administration, or a highly related field.
Equivalency Track: A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in private security services, OR former military/police personnel with at least 10 years of service as a commissioned officer coupled with documented private sector security experience.
Certifications: * Deployed Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Certification, Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Security Manager (CSM) designations.
Demonstrated success in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale security frameworks, ideally across a diverse multi-site corporate or institutional ecosystem.
Proven experience managing multi-agency guard deployments across completely distinct operational setups (e.g., managing the unique security demands of an active school campus vs. a commercial corporate building portfolio simultaneously).
Deep experience interfacing with government regulatory enforcement branches like the PNP, BFP, and local city safety inspectors.
