Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to design and implement automated testing for complex fintech applications. You will analyze requirements, create test plans, and develop automation solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality before deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 4 years of software testing and test automation experience in Financial Technology, with FX trading experience a plus.
• Hands-on testing in Agile/Scrum, including functional, end-to-end, regression, performance and automation testing.
• Proven experience designing and developing automation frameworks and test scripts for complex applications with multiple interfaces.
• Strong experience with Playwright and ISTQB-CTFL certification are an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to lead testing activities and contribute effectively to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, design test plans and test cases, and develop automated test solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and resolve issues before deployment.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, focusing on increasing automation and reducing manual testing efforts.
