Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Scrum Leader in the Philippines, Mandaluyong area. The role focuses on driving successful delivery, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and coordinating program increments across functions such as product, engineering, QA, and DevOps.

You will mentor teams on Scrum and SAFe practices, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure clear communication of risks and progress to stakeholders. Hybrid work setup in MegaTower applies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years supporting software development teams in Scrum Master/Agile roles
• Experience facilitating Scrum events and coaching cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of SAFe including PI Planning, iterations, system demos
• Strong ability to use metrics to improve flow, predictability, and delivery

Responsibilities

• Drive Successful Delivery by guiding sprint goals and value delivery.
• Lead Agile ceremonies: planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives.
• Coordinate PI Planning and manage dependencies and risks.
• Resolve blockers with stakeholders and escalate when needed.

Job Description

As a Scrum Leader, you will:

• Drive Successful Delivery - Support the team in planning and achieving sprint goals that align with broader program objectives while maintaining quality, value, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Lead Agile Ceremonies - Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement sessions, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile activities to ensure productive collaboration and clear outcomes.
• Coordinate Program Increment Execution - Help prepare for PI Planning, define realistic objectives, manage dependencies, monitor progress, identify risks, and contribute to system demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve Delivery Challenges - Proactively identify and address blockers, collaborating with stakeholders and escalating issues when necessary to keep work moving forward.
• Enhance Team Performance - Apply delivery metrics and team insights to improve transparency, workflow efficiency, capacity planning, predictability, and overall execution.
• Promote Agile Best Practices - Mentor team members and stakeholders on Scrum, SAFe, servant leadership, collaboration, self-organization, quality ownership, and continuous improvement principles.
• Foster a Positive Team Environment - Cultivate trust, accountability, inclusivity, and learning while helping the team navigate conflicts and strengthen working relationships.
• Collaborate Across Functions - Partner with product, engineering, quality, architecture, DevOps, security, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment and support effective delivery.
• Ensure Transparent Communication - Keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and impediments through clear and audience-appropriate communication.
• Champion Continuous Improvement - Translate lessons learned into actionable improvements, track implementation of enhancements, and leverage automation and AI tools to streamline processes and boost team effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience supporting software development teams in a Scrum Master, Agile delivery, iteration management, or comparable servant-leadership role
• Practical experience facilitating Scrum events, coaching cross-functional teams, removing impediments, managing dependencies, and supporting iterative software delivery
• Working knowledge of SAFe, including PI Planning, PI Objectives, iterations, features and stories, dependencies, risks, system demos, and inspect-and-adapt practices
• Demonstrated ability to use delivery measures and observations to improve flow, predictability, capacity planning, and continuous improvement
• Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines and geographic regions
