Job summary

IBM Philippines in Quezon City is seeking an experienced SAP EAM/PM specialist to provide end-to-end functional support for asset maintenance processes and drive improvements across the AMS landscape.

You will work with ABAP, SAP CPI, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, support releases and testing, and deliver robust asset-management solutions for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP EAM/PM configuration, implementation, and production support experience.
• Extensive experience in end-to-end SAP Plant Maintenance processes including work identification, notification, work order management, planning, scheduling, execution, and closure.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM in an AMS environment.
• Ability to collaborate with ABAP and SAP CPI teams to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end functional support for SAP EAM/PM business processes, including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and work order closure.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day production incidents related to SAP Plant Maintenance processes while meeting defined SLA targets.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend both short-term workarounds and long-term corrective solutions for recurring issues.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP Plant Maintenance functionality to support evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with ABAP, SAP CPI (Middleware), and other technical teams to investigate and resolve application, integration, and interface issues.
• Perform ticket triage to determine whether issues are related to configuration, user error, master data, training gaps, technical defects, or cross-functional dependencies.
• Diagnose and resolve system defects, integration failures, and module-specific issues to ensure stable business operations.
• Develop detailed functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEFW), including comprehensive functional test scenarios.
• Recommend process improvements and enhancement opportunities that simplify support, improve system usability, and reduce recurring incidents.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT, Operations, Supply Chain, and cross-functional teams to implement solutions and resolve technical defects.
• Educate business users on issue resolution, system functionality, and preventive best practices to reduce repeat incidents.
• Support SAP releases, HRSP updates, system refreshes, and production deployments, including regression testing and validation activities.
• Support Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation and execution of positive and negative test scenarios.
• Partner with reporting and analytics teams to support report validation and testing activities.
• Maintain functional documentation, knowledge articles, configuration documentation, and support procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset management processes and overall AMS service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Plant Maintenance (PM) configuration, implementation, and production support experience.
• Strong expertise in end-to-end SAP Plant Maintenance business processes, including: Work Identification Notification Management Work Order Management Maintenance Planning Scheduling Work Execution Confirmation Technical Completion Order Settlement and Closure
• Extensive experience supporting SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM within an Application Management Services (AMS) environment.
• Strong experience analyzing production incidents and resolving issues within defined SLA commitments.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting SAP Plant Maintenance functionality across complex business processes.
• Experience preparing detailed functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, and reports.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with ABAP developers and SAP CPI (Middleware) teams to resolve technical and integration issues.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving integration errors, workflow issues, master data problems, and system defects.
• Experience performing ticket triage to identify user errors, master data issues, training opportunities, configuration defects, and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration concepts and interfaces between Plant Maintenance and modules such as Materials Management (MM), Procurement, Inventory Management, Finance (FI/CO), and Project System (PS).
• Experience supporting SAP releases, HRSP updates, landscape refreshes, and regression testing activities.
• Hands‑on experience supporting UT, SIT, and UAT, including test planning, execution, and defect management.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred technical and professional experience

At least two full lifecycle SAP Plant Maintenance/EAM implementations for asset-intensive industries such as mining, oil & gas, metals, utilities, or manufacturing.

Experience supporting mining industry asset management processes and equipment maintenance operations.

Knowledge of SAP Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) solutions.

Experience with SAP Asset Strategy and Performance Management (ASPM) or Predictive Maintenance solutions.

Familiarity with SAP Mobile solutions for maintenance, including SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM).

Experience integrating SAP Plant Maintenance with GIS, SCADA, IoT, or operational technology (OT) systems.

Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications for Enterprise Asset Management.

Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite.

Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and ITIL-based AMS support models.

SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Plant Maintenance certification.
