Job description

• Lead and manage an SAP Application Management Services (AMS) team supporting the ECC environment.
• Ensure stable, reliable day-to-day operations of SAP ECC while the S/4HANA program is underway.
• Own incident, problem, and change management processes for ECC (including root cause analysis and continuous improvement).
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for production issues impacting business operations.
• Coordinate closely with the S/4HANA project team to ensure changes and fixes do not conflict with transformation activities.
• Manage support backlog, prioritize work based on business impact, and ensure SLAs are met.
• Oversee transport management, defect fixes, and minor enhancements in ECC.
• Communicate system status, risks, and performance metrics to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness are maintained throughout the transition period.
• Support cutover and dual-system periods (ECC and S/4 coexistence) as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SAP experience with strong functional and/or technical background in ECC.
• Prior experience leading or managing an SAP AMS or production support team.
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC operations and support models.
• Experience with ITIL-based support processes (incident, problem, change management).
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working alongside large SAP transformation or S/4HANA programs.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades.
• Exposure to multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, etc.).
• Experience with offshore or hybrid support teams.
• SAP certifications.
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, SolMan, or other ticketing/monitoring platforms.
