Luxoft is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Expert to maintain and optimize our global SAP landscape, working across Development, QA, and Production environments. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience, ensuring system stability, availability, and performance.

This position involves managing SAP landscapes, leading system upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring robust security and compliance. A Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, along with cloud certification, is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Deep expertise with SAP NetWeaver and S/4HANA architectures.
• Solid experience with OS and DB-level administration (Linux/Unix, Windows).
• Strong knowledge of SAP landscape design and capacity planning.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior SAP Basis Expert to own, maintain, and optimize our global SAP landscape across Development, QA, and Production environments. In this role, you will act as the technical backbone of our SAP ecosystem, driving system administration, database performance tuning, major upgrades, and seamless cloud integrations.

You will closely collaborate with Cross-Functional Applications, Infrastructure, and Security teams to guarantee the stability, high availability, and scalability of our business‑critical systems.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Landscape Administration: Manage and optimize multi‑system SAP landscapes including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and PI/PO
• Upgrades & Migrations: Lead end‑to‑end system installations, OS/DB migrations, kernel patches, and support pack implementations
• Performance Engineering: Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine‑tune SAP systems and database environments (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server) to resolve complex runtime issues
• Infrastructure & Cloud: Partner with DevOps and cloud infrastructure teams to manage and scale SAP environments hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Lifecycle Operations: Plan and execute transport management (TMS), system refreshes, client copies, backup/recovery verification, and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises
• Security & Compliance: Maintain robust system security by managing roles, authorizations, and SSL certificate lifecycles
• Experience: 7+ years of proven, hands‑on experience specifically in SAP Basis administration
• Core Ecosystem: Deep, practical expertise with SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA architectures, and SAP HANA Database
• Infrastructure Mastery: Solid experience with OS and DB‑level administration (Linux/Unix, Windows), along with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setup
• Sizing & Transport: Strong knowledge of SAP landscape design, sizing, capacity planning, and Transport Management / Change Control processes
• Tools: Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) and SAP EarlyWatch report
• s.Education & Communication: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, paired with excellent problem‑solving skills and professional English communication
• Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration or equivalent Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure)
• Cloud Platforms: Direct experience managing SAP workloads natively on Azure or A
• WS.Automation & DevOps: Hands‑on exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform) applied to SAP operations
• Advanced Monitoring: Experience utilizing modern observability stacks (SAP Focused Run, Grafana, Dynatrace
