Job summary

EXA AG seeks an experienced SAP Basis Consultant specializing in performance optimization. The role focuses on tuning SAP systems across ECC, S/4HANA, and HANA, ensuring high availability and security.

You will work with SNP Kyano software, monitor critical components, and collaborate with ABAP teams to optimize SQL and batch processes. The candidate should bring 5–8 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience and a strong background in system monitoring, landscape management, and SAP performance

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience focused on performance tuning, systems monitoring, and landscape management.
• Experience optimizing SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and HANA environments with emphasis on availability, stability and security.
• Strong familiarity with SAP performance tools and tuning methods, and collaboration with ABAP teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform SNP Kyano software installation, configuration, upgrades, and refreshes.
• Manage SNP landscapes across Development, Quality, Sandbox, and Production systems.
• Implement support packs and perform system copies; coordinate transports and deployments.
• Monitor and optimize SAP app server, DB, OS performance; analyze bottlenecks using standard SAP tools.

The Center of Excellence in Bangalore, India, is providing multiple services to projects as well as advancing EXA AG’s own software solutions with and around SAP. Since 2021 EXA AG is part of SNP Group and we have been jointly running and leveraging the Center of Excellence.

Global migration projects from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA are made possible using a green-, brown- or bluefield® approach enabled by SNP’s tools such as KYANO and crystal bridge.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in SAP performance tuning, system monitoring, and SAP landscape management. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in optimizing SAP system performance across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and HANA databases while ensuring high availability, stability, and security of enterprise SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

SNP Basis Administration

• Perform SNP system installation, configuration, upgrades, and refresh activities of SNP Kyano Software.
• Manage SNP landscapes including Development, Quality, Sandbox, and Production systems.
• Perform support pack implementations, and system copies.
• Manage transports and coordinate customer release deployments for implementation of the software.

Performance Optimization

• Monitor and optimize SAP application server, database, and operating system performance through the SNP Kyano Software.
• Analyze system bottlenecks using ST03N, STAD, ST06, ST22, SM50, SM66, DBACOCKPIT, and HANA Studio.
• Perform workload analysis and recommend tuning measures.
• Optimize batch jobs, work processes, memory allocation, and RFC performance.
• Analyze expensive SQL statements and collaborate with ABAP teams for code optimization.
• Tune SAP HANA database performance, memory utilization, and data volume management.
• Monitor and optimize background processing and spool performance.

SAP S/4HANA & HANA Administration

• Perform HANA performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Support SAP S/4HANA conversions, upgrades, and migration projects.
• Work closely with migration teams during technical and functional cutover activities.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Proactively monitor SNP Software systems for availability and performance issues.
• Analyze dumps, locks, failed jobs, and interface failures.
• Resolve critical incidents within SLA timelines.
• Participate in root cause analysis and preventive maintenance activities.
