Job summary

Accenture is hiring for SAP Basis Administration to design, build, and configure SAP landscapes ensuring system availability, security, and optimal performance across ABAP, Java, and SAP HANA. The role covers kernel management, STMS, user and client administration, and proactive troubleshooting.

Your Role

As SAP Basis Administration, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Your typical day will involve working with SAP Basis Administration, ensuring the smooth functioning of SAP systems and resolving any technical issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP landscapes (ABAP, Java, and SAP HANA) to ensure system availability, stability, security, and optimal performance.

• Perform SAP Basis administration activities including user and client administration, transport management (STMS), system configuration, installations, and environment maintenance.

• Execute SAP kernel patching, kernel upgrades, system refreshes, database upgrades, and other lifecycle management activities to keep systems secure and up to date.

• Troubleshoot system and database issues, conduct performance tuning, monitoring, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolve complex technical incidents.

• Manage backup and recovery, high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), security compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA databases, backup and recovery, high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR), and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Linux/Windows administration, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and SAP security concepts.
