Job Description
The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting, selling, and supporting medical supply products through a combination of technical expertise and consultative selling. This role bridges customer needs with appropriate medical solutions by providing product knowledge, demonstrations, and after-sales technical support while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify, develop, and manage new and existing accounts within assigned territories (hospitals, clinics, laboratories, distributors).
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions with clients.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and collection objectives.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation in coordination with internal teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support sales strategies.
- Technical & Product Support
- Provide accurate product information, specifications, and usage guidance to customers.
- Conduct product training and in-service demonstrations for healthcare professionals and end-users.
- Support installation, basic troubleshooting, and coordination of after-sales service when needed.
- Act as a technical resource during client negotiations and evaluations.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
- Address customer concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Technical Service, and Finance teams for order fulfillment and collections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical selling standards, and industry regulations.
- Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates to management.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medical Technology, or related field
(Engineering background preferred)
Experience
- At least1–3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably inmedical devices, medical supplies, or healthcare-related industries
- Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and sales potential may be considered
- Strong technical and product presentation skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Customer-oriented with a consultative selling mindset
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical environments
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willing to do fieldwork and travel as required
