Overview
A Sales Assistant supports the sales team by performing administrative tasks, managing customer inquiries, and helping to drive sales in a retail or business environment. They are key to delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining product displays, and assisting in the store's overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Answer questions about products, services, and promotions. Provide recommendations based on customer needs and preferences. Handle customer complaints or issues effectively, ensuring satisfaction.
- Sales Support: Assist in achieving sales targets by actively engaging customers and upselling products. Process customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges. Ensure products are available and well-stocked, reporting low stock levels when necessary.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of product features, benefits, and pricing. Stay updated on promotions, discounts, and special offers.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
