Job summary

Smartsourcing is seeking a full-time Sage X3 Analyst-Developer to own and optimise the in-house ERP across Inventory, Finance, and integrations. You will work on a heavily customised Sage X3 instance with a formal change-control process.

You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, and external consultants, explaining technical issues to non-technical colleagues and operating during Australian Eastern business hours.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years hands-on Sage X3 experience in a live business environment.
• Exposure to Sage X3 Finance and Inventory/Distribution.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deliver the Sage X3 Inventory Module with Finance, Operations, IT, and external Sage consultant.
• Set up multi-site and multi-warehouse structures, transfers, product master data, and FIFO costing.
• Own inventory configuration, stock movements, purchasing, receiving, and inventory reporting once live.
• Support and configure Sage X3 finance processes: invoicing, accounts payable, general ledger, journals, and financial reporting.
• Assist Finance with data corrections, period-end issues, and audit queries.
• Act as first- and second-line support for Sage X3 issues; troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Coordinate patches, upgrades, and environment refreshes with Infrastructure and Sage consultants; testing and cut-over support.
• Design, build, and test enhancements, reports, workflows, and automations in Sage X3 (4GL, workflow rules, web services).
• Document requirements and deployment steps; maintain system documentation and knowledge base.
• Monitor and develop interfaces between Sage X3 and host files, banking, 3PL, Power BI, and other systems.
