Job summary

Will Decena and Associates Inc. is seeking an Occupational Safety & Health Supervisor in Metro Manila to translate legislation into internal procedures and drive safety initiatives.

The role requires developing risk assessments, initiating safety trainings, and ensuring compliance with government reporting. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least three years in a supervisory safety role, and proven experience in creating and enforcing OSH policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree; preferably related to Occupational Safety & Health.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within safety-related functions.
• Experience creating and enforcing safety policies.
• At least 5 years of Occupational Safety & Health experience.
• Familiar with internet usage and common office software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate safety legislation into internal procedures and processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide action plans for preventive measures.
• Initiate OSH training.
• Prepare and submit OSH reports to government agencies and LGUs.
• Keep updated with evolving OSH guidelines and protocols from government bodies.
• Create and maintain site safety policies, standards, and documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adept on operationalized relevant Occupational Safety & Health legislation and translates it to internal procedures and processes.

• Conducts risk assessment relevant to Occupational Safety & Health and provides necessary action plans to preventive measures.

• Initiates Occupational Safety & Health training.

• Review, sign and submit pertinent information or Occupational Safety & Health reports required by government agencies and LGUs.

• Keeps abreast of evolving Occupational Safety & Health guidelines and protocols set by government agencies.

• Creates and maintains the policies, standards, procedures, and documentation for site safety. ensure that the policies and standards for safety fit for purpose, updated, and are correctly implemented in the entire organization.

• Provides necessary coaching, mentoring and assistance to team members regularly and discusses goals and action plans in order for the team to achieve their targets.

• Empower the team members by applying appropriate motivational approaches to match individual needs.

• Initiates the overall review, analysis and improvement of the unit's performance in terms of productivity and quality to identify operational strengths and areas for growth and development.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have at least Bachelor's Degree in any field, but preferably related to Occupational Safety & Health.

• At least five (3) years of relevant work experience at supervisory capacity.

• Must have demonstrated experience in creating and enforcing Occupational Safety & Health policies.

• Must have at least five (5) years of Occupational Safety & Health experience.

• Must have familiarity with internet usage, MS Office, and other operating system.

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
