Job summary

IQ Packaging Systems, Inc. seeks a proactive Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Specialist to promote safety and health at Meycauayan, Bulacan.

You will inspect workplaces, enforce safety standards, and ensure PPE usage while storing hazardous materials according to regulations. The role involves reporting hazards, assisting investigations, conducting training for staff, and developing safety systems to meet business targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 40-hour OSH training course, and additional 48-hour advanced/specialized OSH training course.
• With at least 2 years experience in OSH.

Responsibilities

• Promote occupational health and safety within an organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working
• inspects workplace and equipment to ensure they meet and safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks
• Ensure that workplaces conform with organizational procedures and safety standards
• Ensure personal protective equipment (such as safety vest, dust masks, safety shoes and goggles), is being used in workplaces according to regulations
• Ensure dangerous materials are correctly stored
• Record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues within the workplace
• Assist with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
• Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation
• Assist with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work
• Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of occupational health and safety program
• Develop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals to achieve business targets
• Perform duties that may be assigned from time to time
