Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking a Safety Officer to support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs across operations in the Philippines. You will conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires 3–5 years in HSE/SHE, a engineering-related degree, a valid driver's license, OSH certification preferred, and strong communication and analytical skills to collaborate

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of engineering course or BS/Diploma in Engineering Technology.
• Experience: 3–5 years in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SHE).
• License: Valid Driver’s License; Professional License is an advantage.
• Certification: OSH Practitioner preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard identification and risk assessment, safety inspections, incident investigation, regulatory compliance.
• Other: Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, hazard identifications, and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety-related complaints.
• Develop and conduct safety training, orientations, and awareness programs.
• Implement fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety equipment programs.
• Monitor compliance with safety standards and applicable government regulations.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as DOLE, BFP, PPA, DENR, and LGUs on safety, permits, licenses, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and ensure timely closure of safety findings and corrective actions.
• Support the implementation and continual improvement of 5S, ISO, GMP, and other management systems.
• Analyze safety data and prepare reports, recommendations, and safety performance updates for management.
• Work closely with different departments to promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent implementation of safety practices.
• Support food safety, quality, and Halal requirements within the assigned area.
• Perform other SHE-related duties and projects as assigned.
