Job summary

REGAN INDUSTRIAL SALES INC. is seeking a Safety Officer to manage safety programs and regulatory compliance within the assigned business unit in the Philippines.

The role involves coordinating with supervisors and managers to inspect safety aspects, investigate incidents, and enforce preventive measures. The position requires a bachelor's degree and CSO II certification, with responsibilities including monthly reporting, safety training, license renewals, emergency drills, and maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certified Safety Officer 2 (CSO II) required.

Responsibilities

• Generate annual Safety Plans and Programs.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and coordinate with designated personnel.
• Inspect health and safety aspects of operations with supervisors and managers.
• Investigate near misses, accidents and incidents; conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment; enforce preventive measures.
• Document safety reports and records of safety-related activities.
• Prepare monthly reportorial documents required by DOLE and monthly Accomplishment Report and Risk Register.
• Conduct monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings to align safety procedures.
• Conduct health and safety orientation programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor and renew government licenses and permits in the unit.
• Initiate emergency drills and learning sessions.
• Ensure safety equipment is functioning properly.
• Implement and monitor Emergency Response Team (ERT) Program.
• Prepare reports for renewal of legal statutory requirements (e.g., Electrical Inspection, Operation Machinery, PTOs, Fire Safety Certificates).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Ensures workplace safety by monitoring and inspecting facilities and equipment in the assigned business unit. Formulate and implements safety plans and programs. Monitors regulatory compliance such as licenses and permits.

Scope and Responsibilities:

1. Generates Safety Plans and Programs annually;
2. Ensures that regulatory compliance is strictly monitored and properly coordinated to designated personnel;
3. Frequently inspects any health or safety aspect of the operations in coordination with supervisors and managers;
4. Investigates near misses, accidents, incidents and conducts Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and enforces preventive measures;
5. Documents safety reports and records of all safety related activities;
6. Prepares and submits monthly reportorial documents required by the DOLE, and submits monthly Accomplishment Report and Risk Register;
7. Conducts monthly meeting together with the Health and Safety Committee to align safety procedures within the business unit;
8. Conduct health and safety orientation program to employees and sub-contractors.
9. Responsible in monitoring and renewing government licenses and permits in the assigned business unit;
10. Initiates emergency drills and learning sessions;
11. Ensures that safety equipment is functioning properly;
12. Implementation and monitoring of Emergency Response Team (ERT) Program.
13. Prepares report for the renewal of the following legal statutory requirements;
14. a. Certificate of Annual Electrical Inspection ( LGU )
15. b. Certificate of Operation Machinery ( LGU )
16. c. PTO of Crane / History Equipment (DOLE)
17. d. PTO of Pressure Vessel (DOLE)
18. e. PTO of Power Piping line (DOLE)
19. f. Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (BFP)
20. 14. Perform other duties as assigned.
