Job summary

Portmizer Philippines Corporation is seeking a qualified Safety Officer III (SO3) to support the safe execution of an ongoing project in Manila. The role focuses on implementing OSH policies, conducting inspections, and coordinating safety across project personnel.

The candidate should have DOLE OSH training, hands-on site experience, and strong communication skills. Project-based on-site employment in Manila is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Safety Officer III (SO3) with the required DOLE-prescribed OSH training/certification.
• Preferably with relevant experience handling safety requirements for construction, engineering, industrial, equipment, or similar project-based operations.
• Knowledgeable in Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards and applicable DOLE requirements.
• Experience in site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident reporting, and safety documentation.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Able to conduct safety orientations and toolbox meetings.
• Willing to work on-site in Manila.
• Willing to accept project-based employment.
• Can start as soon as required is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies, programs, and procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.
• Recommend and monitor appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and other required safety briefings.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• Monitor compliance with DOLE OSH standards and other applicable safety regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of safety reports, records, permits, checklists, and other required documentation.
• Investigate and document workplace incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate with project management, employees, contractors, and other concerned parties regarding safety matters.
• Assist during safety audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Perform other safety-related duties necessary for the successful and safe completion of the project.

Job Summary

Portmizer Philippines Corporation is looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer III (SO3) to support the implementation and monitoring of occupational safety and health requirements for an ongoing project in Manila.
