Job summary

TELUS Digital Philippines in Iloilo is seeking an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist to lead OSH programs across our facilities. You will conduct audits, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver trainings, manage incident records, and coordinate with government agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, OSHA certification, and 2–3 years' safety experience in a BPO environment. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field; technical preference is a plus.
• OSHA certification is required.
• 2–3 years of safety experience, preferably in a call center or BPO setup.
• Knowledge of OSH and regulatory standards; attended OSHA/DOLE training is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
• People and vendor management; strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage OSH audits, non-compliance, investigations, and reports; drive continuous improvements.
• Lead and implement OSH guidelines, programs, and initiatives.
• Submit government, LGU, PEZA, and internal health & safety reports and permits.
• Conduct trainings and orientations on OSH topics, including BCP/ERT/DRP.
• Maintain up-to-date accident/illness records and proper filing.
• Monitor budget and expenses related to OSH programs.

Job description

Ensures that occupational health and safety programs are in place to assess, reduce and communicate workplace risks, hazards and unsafe practices and to safeguard team members. Ensures that all facilities are in compliance with regulations and all reports, permits and other requirements are submitted on time to government, PEZA and other agencies.

Overview:

• Manages Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) audits, non-compliance, investigations, reports and continuous improvements by determining company hazards, risks, health impacting elements and providing recommendations and action items to correct the findings.
• Leads, develops and implements Occupational Safety and Health guidelines, programs and initiatives.
• Submits, complies to and oversees any government, LGU, PEZA and internally-required Health and Safety reports and permits.
• Facilitates and conducts trainings and orientations on OS&H which may include BCP, ERT and DRP to build awareness and employee compliance as support to BCP Team.
• Ensures that records of accidents and/or occupational illnesses are up to date and properly filed.
• Updates budget and expense allocated.
• Submits other reports and documentations that may be required by the company.

Required skills + qualities (technical):

• Bachelor's Degree in any field, preferably Engineering or any technical course
• OSHA Certified (required)
• 2-3 years practicing safety preferably in a call center or BPO set up
• Preferably with advance knowledge and experience on Occupational Safety and Health and other regulatory standards. Attended OSHA or DOLE safety orientation and other training related to risk and safety.

Knowledge on BCP and Pollution Control regulation will be an advantage; Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel). Knowledge on construction, building standards, environmental controls and critical equipment is an advantage
