Don Lee Builders, Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer III to lead workplace safety programs on construction sites. The role ensures compliance with local and international HSE regulations and trains personnel to prevent accidents and hazards.
Responsibilities include conducting inspections, toolbox talks, maintaining records, and enforcing safety standards. The officer will report hazards and drive continuous safety improvements in a dynamic project environment.
A Safety Officer III is a senior-level safety professional responsible for leading workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws, conducting inspections, training personnel, and enforcing safety standards to prevent accidents and hazards.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Regularly assess construction sites, equipment, and processes to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issues.
Deliver safety training to employees, subcontractors, and visitors on hazard recognition, emergency response, and safe work practices.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety orientations, and training sessions for site personnel.
Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Keep up to date with changes in safety legislation and industry best practices.
Issue warnings, stop-work orders, or disciplinary measures when violations occur.
Encourage proactive hazard reporting and continuous improvement in safety performance.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not always required).
Certification in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, DOLE-accredited SO2 training, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in construction site safety.
Knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
Certifications: Must be accredited by the DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) as a Safety Officer III
