We are looking for a Occupational Safety Officer to lead and coordinate occupational health and safety initiatives across multiple office locations nationwide.
The role will serve as the organization's key safety resource, providing guidance on workplace safety, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, safety training, accident investigation, and safety program implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with Facilities, Workplace, branch representatives, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Secretary of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee and support the effective implementation of its programs and recommendations.
- Act as the Corporate Safety Officer, providing guidance and oversight to designated Safety Officers across various office locations.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety training programs, including required DOLE-mandated safety training.
- Develop and coordinate emergency preparedness initiatives, including emergency evacuation drills and readiness programs.
- Monitor the availability and readiness of emergency go bags, emergency food provisions, and other emergency response resources across applicable locations.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, prepare reports and analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and support an efficient accident and safety records management system.
- Conduct regular occupational health and safety inspections and coordinate actions to address identified hazards.
- Assist government agencies during occupational safety and health inspections, accident investigations, and related regulatory activities.
- Provide guidance on building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, construction, and other applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with landlords, property management teams, contractors, fit-out consultants, and outsourced service providers on safety-related matters.
- Promote consistent implementation of occupational health and safety standards across more than 90 office locations nationwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- DOLE-accredited Safety Practitioner or SO3 equivalent is required.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant occupational health and safety experience.
- Experience in a corporate office, BPO/shared services, banking, insurance, property management, facilities management, or similar environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Occupational Safety and Health standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting safety training, inspections, emergency drills, and accident investigations.
- Knowledge of building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and applicable engineering and construction standards.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, landlords, and property management teams is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to various office locations as required.
