Job summary

NANOX Philippines, Inc. is hiring a Safety Officer to develop and promote workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. You will conduct monthly safety patrols and support training initiatives at Clarkfield, Pampanga, on-site with the team.

Fresh graduates are welcome if they have BOSH SO2 training; proficiency in English/Tagalog is preferred, with Excel skills for reporting. Health and life insurance are provided, along with other employee benefits.

Job description

SALARY RANGE: The salary range we included in our Job Ad reflects the average Entry or Probationary Rate we offer to qualified applicants. The exact amount depends on the number of years of work-related experience the applicant has (if any). But it is still within (Php 21,700.00-24,400.00)

Safety Officers are responsible in developing, implementing, and promoting environment and occupational safety programs in the workplace. They act as environment and safety adviser and trainers to process owners; Ensure the company is compliant to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Management. They do regular safety patrols every month.

1) Work Schedule: 5-day work week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, includes 9 Hour normal working hours, and breaktime). Weekends are normal rest days. But if there is work permit schedule, there may be work on Saturday, which is considered as paid overtime (OT on a Rest Day) or it can be a day off swap. May also work on holidays if there is a need for an SO on site. May also render OT during weekdays (with pay) due to operation schedule and be on night shift every two weeks (8am to 8pm, 8pm to 8am). This also includes conducting emergency preparedness drills for the night shift.

2) Work Location: Willing to work in CLARKFIELD, PAMPANGA (near the Medical City Clark and Polymer Link; search Google Maps for Nanox Philippines Inc.)

3) Work Culture: Comfortable working with Japanese and Filipino

4) Language: Comfortable using English and Tagalog (or Kapampangan)

5) Other Considerations: Comfortable generating and reviewing reports often; need to be meticulous especially in the wording of legal documents and safety reports. Must be creative in improving the safety measures of the company in line with Workplace Management Plan; willing to learn internal auditing in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; must be strict when it comes to safety compliance.

Job Qualifications

1) Education: BS in Industrial Engineering graduate, or from any other Engineering courses*

*Not required to be licensed or registered.

2) Work Experience: An advantage if have previous work experience as a safety officer in a manufacturing company. Otherwise, fresh graduates are welcome to apply if with BOSH SO2 training.

3) Microsoft: Comfortable using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

4) Soft skills: Strong Analytical and Logical judgement with very good communication skills; with friendly personality; creative and enthusiastic facilitator when conducting trainings; hardworking in doing reports; willing to learn new information about Occupational Safety and share learnings to employees
