Job summary

Finca Engineering Services is seeking a dedicated Safety Aide to join our team in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila. This full-time role focuses on maintaining health, safety and environmental standards across our construction operations, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory requirements.

You will perform site inspections, assist in policy implementation, provide on-site training, and maintain safety records while supporting audits and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent certification (OSHA certification or similar is highly advantageous)
• Proven experience working as a Safety within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with workers at all levels
• Ability to identify hazards and assess risks on site
• Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills for maintaining safety documentation
• Physical fitness and ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions
• Proactive and safety-first mindset with commitment to continuous improvement
• Familiarity with safety management software and basic computer literacy
• Preferably bilingual (English and Filipino) to communicate effectively with all team members

Responsibilities

• Conducting daily safety inspections of construction sites, equipment and work areas to identify hazards and potential risks
• Assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of safety policies, procedures and guidelines
• Providing safety induction and training to new workers and existing staff on site-specific hazards and safe work practices
• Maintaining accurate safety records, incident reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Inspecting PPE and ensuring all personnel are wearing appropriate protective gear
• Investigating accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
• Assisting in the preparation of safety plans, risk assessments and method statements for construction projects
• Conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings to raise awareness of workplace hazards
• Monitoring the proper storage, handling and disposal of hazardous materials on site
• Supporting the Safety Manager in conducting safety audits and compliance inspections
• Maintaining housekeeping standards and ensuring work areas are kept clean and free from obstructions

About the role
