Job summary

Savills Philippines is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee daily property operations at the Bacnotan, La Union site. The role involves inspections, enforcing house rules, and coordinating with security, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to uphold company standards.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, a professional license, and at least 2 years of property management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional license or board certification is required.
• At least 2 years of work experience in the property management industry.
• Willing to work on-site and six days a week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and inspections, enforce house rules, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor security and housekeeping services to ensure safety and cleanliness according to service agreements.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment/utility monitoring, fire safety, energy management, and other technical programs.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety requirements, government permits, licenses, and property standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation for board/landlord meetings; manage service providers and monitor contract performance.
• Monitor billing, expenses, and budgets; prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oversee daily property operations, conduct regular inspections, enforce house rules, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor security and housekeeping services to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with service agreements.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment and utility monitoring, fire safety, energy management, and other technical programs.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety requirements, government permits, licenses, legal requirements, and property standards.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, documentation, inventories, and requirements for board/landlord meetings.
• Manage service providers, monitor contract compliance and performance, and evaluate service quality.
• Monitor billing, collections, expenses, fund balances, and budgets; prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning.
• Supervise, coach, and assess the property management team to ensure efficient operations and effective communication.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, residents, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve property operations, streamline processes, and enhance service quality.
• Serve as Reliever for Account Lead – Metro Manila, ensuring continuity of operations, team supervision, stakeholder coordination, and escalation management.
• Participate in company meetings, training programs, and other organizational activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam)
• At least 2 years of work experience in the property management industry.
• Willing to work on-site.
• Amenable to work six (6) days a week.
