Job summary

Savills Philippines, Inc. in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure equipment functionality, monitor utilities, and maintain site safety.

This onsite role requires staying compliant with house rules, coordinating with tenants and vendors, and delivering reliable facility operations. You will implement preventive maintenance, manage inventories, enforce fire safety, and support energy management while leading technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional License (Board/Professional License Exam).
• At least 1 year of work experience in the property management industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment functionality, minimal downtime, and compliance with house rules.
• Monitor utilities, inspect property, and promptly address tenant concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and security across all property areas.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
• Oversee vendor performance, set SLAs/KPIs, and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts.
• Enforce fire safety procedures, inspections, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Support energy management initiatives and track cost savings.
• Supervise construction, fit-out works, and ensure compliance with design and permit requirements.
• Keep all permits, documents, and technical reports up to date and ISO-compliant.
• Manage inventory and ensure material availability for operations.
• Lead and coach technical and maintenance teams; ensure efficient communication and coordination.
• Monitor expenses and utility consumption; assist in OPEX and CAPEX management.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and stakeholders to ensure quality service.
• Recommend operational and technical process improvements.
• Participate in company meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Education

Bachelor’s/College Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
