First Circle in Manila is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst to evaluate SME loan applicants and assess risk, leveraging financial data and credit reports.

You'll participate in due diligence, ensure compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a complete view of borrowers’ financial positions. The role offers a hybrid work setup with in-office days at BGC and remote days, plus a strong focus on analytical skills and growth in credit underwriting.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or with maximum 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Credit Evaluation: Evaluate SME loan applicants’ creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and other data.
• Risk Assessment: Assess borrower risk profiles by identifying key risks, mitigating factors, and overall financial strength.
• Due Diligence & Compliance: Conduct due diligence to ensure regulatory compliance and credit standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather information and understand borrowers’ financial positions.
• Credit Decisioning & Portfolio Monitoring: Prepare credit recommendations, maintain loan records, and monitor borrowers.

As a Risk Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating creditworthiness and assessing the risk profile of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) applying for loans. Responsibilities

• Credit Evaluation: Evaluate SME loan applicants’ creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
• Risk Assessment: Assess borrower risk profiles by identifying key risks, mitigating factors, and overall financial strength.
• Due Diligence & Compliance: Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and credit standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather information and build a full understanding of borrowers’ businesses and financial positions.
• Credit Decisioning & Portfolio Monitoring: Prepare credit recommendations, maintain accurate loan records, monitor existing borrowers, and help improve underwriting processes and systems.

• Relevant Experience: Preferably a fresh graduate or with maximum 1 year of experience.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and make sound decisions.
• Communication & Work Style: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively, independently, and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency & Growth Mindset: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications, with a strong desire to learn and build a career in credit underwriting and risk assessment.

• Salary: PHP 25,000-28,000 monthly gross
• Hybrid work set-up: 2 days per week in our BGC office; remote the rest of the time.
