Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Risk Analyst I to join the Risk & Collections team in Manila. You will monitor alerts daily to identify high risk and fraudulent activity, verify information with banks, and coordinate documentation for investigations.

The role emphasizes accurate processing and customer-focused service. You will collaborate with internal teams, merchants, and issuers, educating clients on policy and risk controls while supporting timely decisions and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts daily to identify high risk transactions and fraudulent activity.
• Monitor merchant authorizations, deposits and refunds to flag suspect transactions.
• Verify information with card issuing banks and obtain documents for investigation.
• Capture and hold funds per guidelines; advise on reserve releases.
• Educate merchants on policies to prevent financial losses while mitigating losses for Global Payments.
• Provide quality customer service and SME support to internal departments and partners.

What you’ll own

• Drive results with a proven ability to achieve both team and individual goals consistently and demonstrate sound judgment by independently monitoring a specified goal amount of alerts on a daily basis in order to identify high risk transactions and fraudulent processing activity.

• Monitor merchant authorizations, deposits and refunds to identify suspect transactions via RiskNet. Identify merchant accounts for credit referral or for further investigation

• Verify information with card issuing banks and validate suspicious transactions by contacting merchants and obtaining the necessary documents in arriving at a decision

• Capture and hold funds according to guidelines as warranted. Recommend reserve release of merchant funds where appropriate.

• Focus on the customer first by educating merchants on company policies and procedures as they relate to preventing financial losses for the merchant while simultaneously mitigating losses for Global Payments

• Provide quality customer service and subject matter expertise to all internal departments, Global Payments third party partners, independent sales organizations and also liaise with credit card issuers and financial institutions.
