Job summary

Will Decena and Associates Inc. seeks a qualified Rigger to perform rigging tasks for lifting operations using cranes on construction sites. You will attach and secure loads with slings, shackles, and hooks, and inspect equipment to ensure safe handling.

You must follow standard hand signals or radio communication, coordinate with crane operators and site supervisors, monitor weather conditions, and comply with OSH standards and company safety policies while maintaining site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• At least High School graduate or equivalent.
• TESDA certification in Rigging / Signal Man.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as Rigger in construction or heavy equipment operations.
• Knowledgeable in different rigging methods, load calculations, and lifting techniques.
• Familiar with standard hand signals and radio communication procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in various site conditions.
• Good coordination and teamwork skills, Safety-oriented with strong awareness of hazard identification.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging activities for lifting operations using Cranes / Tower Cranes.
• Attach and secure loads properly using slings, shackles, hooks, and other rigging equipment.
• Inspect all rigging tools and lifting accessories before use.
• Ensure loads are balanced, stable, and within safe working load limits (SWL).
• Act as a Signal Man (if required) to guide the Tower Crane Operator using standard hand signals or radio communication.
• Maintain clear communication with Crane Operators and Site Supervisors during lifting operations.
• Monitor weather conditions (e.g. strong winds) and advise suspension of lifting if unsafe.
• Ensure compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and company safety policies.
• Assist in site housekeeping and proper storage of rigging equipment. Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions or incidents immediately. Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions.
